After running a tutoring business in Pakistan for more than 30 years, Anwar Khan said he decided to develop a similar center here. More than 15,000 students, he says, have gone through his Pakistan tutoring center. Mariyam has worked about five years for Kumon, a well-known tutoring business in the area; Thomas has tutored independently since the eighth grade; and Dunlap has tutored in physics, chemistry, math, and Spanish. “I think this is a really cool place they started,” Thomas said. “I think it’s something Plainfield needed.
