National Drama Festival Begins in Lahore

The people of Lahore will witness quality theatre during the 12-day Ibsen National Drama Festival (INDS) jointly organised by the Pakistan National Council of Arts (PNCA), the Norwegian embassy and the Lahore and Punjab Arts Councils at Alhamra Art Centre.

The festival opened on Monday with a PNCA production ‘Tota Ram’. The festival will feature performances by 11 theatre groups from Quetta, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Karachi and Lahore. Dolphin Communication Productions from Rawalpindi will present ‘Naqal Makani’ on Decemeber 29. Sangat Theatre productions from Quetta will stage ‘Dekh Tamasha Chalta Ban’ on December 30.
