Visually Impaired Lahore Girl Masters Classical Music

via www.ndtv.com

Four years ago Aliya Ashid made her way from Pakistan to Bhopal. Her journey across the border was stemmed in a single objective – her passion for music. For this visually challenged girl Dhrupad music was the only guiding light and her hosts, a Jain family, became her guides in the journey. For this girl from Lahore its ironic to never be able to see the people who made her journey possible or the Gundecha brothers who gave her those invaluable lessons in music. But when she returns to Pakistan later she will take back much more than her musical lessons.
