Karachi Female Leopard Seeks Mate from NWFP

via www.dailytimes.com.pk

The management of the Safari Park is trying to establish a breeding center for endangered leopards in Pakistan and is looking for a mate for a female who was donated by the NWFP government two weeks ago.At present, the female leopard is still not used to the atmosphere of her cage and the Safari environment which is why she has shied from emerging in the day. Sources said that she has only started venturing out in the evenings. However, the management is concerned about the strength of her cage, as leopards are clever enough to dig under and escape. No two leopards look alike but no one has been able to properly identify the distinguishing features of the man-eating leopard that has terrorized the local population.
