The Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) is planning to establish a jewellery park, Dazzle Park, over an area of 22 acres near Jinnah Terminal Airport. The park will cost around Rs230 million ($US5.27 million) and will facilitate gem and jewellery exports, according to a press release.
The park will provide a one-window facility for gems and jewellery exporters comprising a hallmarking/assaying office and gem testing laboratory, besides a jewellery training institute and manufacturing units. The EPB has hired Stephen Kennedy and Peter Raw to prepare a feasibility report on a gem testing lab and a hallmarking/assaying office.
