And Now, Pakistan & India to Play Badminton

After the remarkable success in cricket and hockey, India and Pakistan will now meet on the badminton courts from October 30 onwards.

The Badminton Association of India (BAI) plans to host two Test matches between the neighbouring countries in October-November, BAI Secretary General L C here said.

The first test match would be played in Chandigarh on October 30, subject to the approval by the Indian Government, he added. The Punjab Badminton Association would be organising the second test in Jalandhar on November 1, he added.

The BAI has already written a letter to the Government, seeking permission for the Indo-Pak Tests in Punjab. A six-member Pakistan team of shuttlers, including one manager, has confirmed its participation in the proposed Indo-Pak Badminton Tests.
