Pakistani makes it to Fortune’s 50 most powerful women in business

Musharaf Hai, chairman of Unilever Pakistan has made it to Fortune Magazine’s 2004 ranking of the 50 most powerful women in business.

Hai, who is ranked at number 46 on the list, is the only woman from Pakistan to make it to the popular ranking. ‘The most prominent businesswoman in a country where women usually aren’t allowed to shine, Hai, 49, has run Unilever in Pakistan since 2001,’ the Fortune article states. ‘The first woman and only the second Pakistani, to head Unilever’s operations in the country, she often gets called for advice by top government officials.
