Famed Italian Artist Displays Work in Karachi

When Gino Marotta, the famous Italian artist, confesses that his unrestrainable curiosity makes him unable to resist the calls of new opportunities which arise from any new material or mental stimulus, his artwork, which was put to exposition at the Amin Gulgee Gallery on Saturday, endorses his confession vividly.

And Laura Fioretta, Cultural AttachÈ at the Consulate General of Italy in Karachi, rightly says the colours in his work – mainly in methacrylates – are the manifestations of light and true stimuli to both emotional fantasies and realities.

Marotta’s has produced his three-dimensional pieces not in any prototype medium but has used the material that leaves a soothing effect on the eyes and imprints depth in various mental faculties.
