Pakistan leaps ahead of India in Kirloskar Golf

The Pakistan and Indian golf teams, after a lapse of thirteen years, finally managed to get together in Lahore at the Gymkhana Golf Course for a battle of golfing skills. This occasion arose because way back in 1989, a golfing visionary in India initiated this concept of team competitions between the arch-rivals of the subcontinent.

First competition of this kind was held in Bangalore, India and as per agreement this was to be alternately shifted to each country. Unfortunately relations between the two countries suffered a set back and after 1991, there came a break. Many sports organisers on both sides of the border wanted a continuation of this event yet nothing materialized. And in the year 2004 what looked impossible previously has now become possible…
