Chinese painting exhibition opens in Lahore

An exhibition of photographs and iron pictures by Chinese artists will open at the Shakir Ali Museum on Monday in connection with the 55th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China.

The exhibition will be organised by the Pakistan National Council of Arts (PNCA) in collaboration with the Chinese Embassy. Some iron pictures by famous Chinese artists depict changing weathers while photographs have different subjects, including heritage, china’s development and relations between Pakistan and China.

Punjab Law Minister Muhammad Basharat Raja will inaugurate the exhibition that will continue until October 12. The photographs and paintings will later be exhibited in Peshawar and Balochistan. PNCA Director General Raja Changez Sultan told Daily Times on Friday that the council would also hold a national theatre festival in Rawalpindi and a national ghazal festival in Islamabad.
