Thailand plans to add silky lustre to Pakistan economy

The fast emerging economic tiger, Thailand, has offered to develop Pakistan’s silk industry which, according to former foreign minister Prachuab Chaiyasan, would add silky shine to the country’s economy.

Thailand had offered dozens of proposals to Pakistan to further boost the economy and raise the standard of living of the people of the two countries, Chaiyasan said in an exclusive interview to The News at the picturesque Marina Club overlooking the emerald waters of the Arabian Sea dotted with numerous speed boats and launches.
