Five Rupees

www.pakpositive.comFive Rupees is run by four (but really three) friends from Karachi, two of whom are lawyers based in Karachi and London respectively and the third of whom is an academic doing his PHD at the University of Chicago. Five Rupees is NOT the Pakistani equivalent of 'Two Cents', though it is an understandable mistake I suppose.

A lot of the content is to do with Pakistan, Karachi, politics and sports, as well as entertaining nuggets from the news sources we read regularly. We also blog about our respective areas of study and expertise. However, in keeping with tradition, we (the contributors) often pontificate on a variety of topics that have nothing whatsoever to do with our respective areas of study or expertise. This keeps things interesting, and ensures that in terms of its content, Five Rupees is informative and analytical but not excessively or oppressively so. While the contributors would ideally want to feature at the Colbert Report, we would consider settling for the Daily Show or Walker Texas Ranger.
