Karachi’s Khori Garden: The Place for Used Book Lovers

via www.jang.com.pk

A visit to Khori garden is every book lover’s dream come true. Its narrow lane is lined with bookshops that offer books of all shapes and sizes. Situated in a congested business area of the city – the Bolton Market, Khori garden is a treat to visit. Some shopkeepers of the area believe that it was named after a Christian community that used to live here before partition. They also believe that the members of the community were the first inhabitants of this locality. There are around 20 bookshops in this market. There are still some shopkeepers who sell their books on pushcarts. But they live on the edge.
