First Pakistan Firm Joins International VoIP Network

Using iBasis’ DirectVoIP broadband service, Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited has established a direct IP interconnection with the iBasis global VoIP network. The connection will allow PTCL to route international voice traffic over the iBasis Network, as well as complete calls for iBasis over its network in Pakistan. The addition of PTCL adds to an iBasis interconnected network that includes other areas such as South Africa, Korea, Norway and the United Kingdom, and hundreds of points of presence in Asia, Africa, Europe, the Middle East and the Americas.
