Pakistan is the World’s 3rd Largest CNG User

Pakistan has become a leading country in Asia and the third largest user of CNG in the world after Argentina and Brazil. About 700,000 vehicles have been converted to Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) in the country by March 2005 as compared to 450,000 vehicles during the same period last year, showing an increase of 56 percent. The survey said the number of electrified villages has also increased to 87,698 by March this year as compared to 78,820 till 2003-04, showing an increase of 11.3 percent.
