China to Open Asia’s First ‘Confucius Institute’ in Pakistan

The next but not the least was the agreement on establishing a “Confucius Institute” between National University of Modern Languages (NUML) and China’s National Office for Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language (NOTCFL). Under the agreement Chinese language will be taught in this Institute using a variety of methods including multimedia and the Internet. Teachers of this institution will be trained to teach Chinese in primary and high schools and colleges. Subsequently it would emerge as a centre of excellence on Sinology and cultural development
