Karachi Girls Beat Lahore to Win First Women’s Cricket Tournament

A hurricane innings by Armaan Khan guided Karachi Region to inflict a crushing six wickets defeat on the Lahore Region team in the final of the First National Women’s cricket Championship at the Gaddafi Stadium here on Monday. As she hit the winning shot off the bowling of Shamsa Hahmi, who also happens to be the secretary of the Pakistan Women’s Cricket Board, she kissed the ground as a token of thanks to Almighty Allah. The Karachi players ran onto the ground and lifted her on their shoulders.
