Pakistan Derby Ends with ‘A Moment of Love’

A lengthy and tricky card of ten events was decided at the Lahore Race Club on the Pakistan Derby Day when the country’s most prestigious race - the Pakistan Derby 2005 - was won by Mr Pervaiz Iqbal’s four-year-old colt ‘Moment of Love.’ A well-backed favourite lay close to the leader over the first seven furlongs and when the horses turned their heads towards home Jockey Shahid Rehman asked for the final response to virtually sail past the post with plenty in reserve.
