Ex Pakistani Hockey Great to Coach Malaysians

FORMER Pakistan international goalkeeper Shahid Ali Khan will arrive on March 6 for a one-month stint with the national juniors. Shahid, who was one of the heroes for Pakistan when they won the gold medal in the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics, will act as the goalkeepers’ coach for the team who are preparing for the Junior World Cup in Rotterdam in late June. This means Shahid will also be with the team for the six-nation tournament on March 26 to April 3. Shahid, besides winning the Olympics medal, was also in the Pakistani team who won the 1994 World Cup in Sydney.
