Karachi Theatre Stages Urdu Poet’s Tragic Life

There was a fresh approach to the staging of a posture of life of the poignant Urdu poet, Mustafa Khan Shaifta and his lover Rumjo. During this ordeal, Shaifta was out of town and upon his return, he learns that his lover had chosen to end her life rather than endure the pain caused by separation from him. Consequently, she suffered serious injuries by jumping from a window. The lover attends to the wounded, Rumjo, who later dies in his arms.
