Pakistani Banker Wins Best Asia Governor Award

The Banker Magazine of London, a subsidiary of Financial Times has declared Dr. Ishrat Husain as Central Bank Governor of the year for Asia. This is for the first time in the history of Pakistan that any Governor of State Bank has won this prestigious award. The Banker has honoured Dr. Ishrat “for his leadership at the helm of State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) that has championed and driven reform and restructuring of Pakistan’s financial sector.
