Pakistan-India Fibre-Optic Link Likely

Pakistan and India are likely to establish an optic fiber phone link soon to improve telecommunications between the two countries, a Pakistani news channel reported Tuesday.

Management control of the company will also be transferred to the buyer of the stake. In the past, Singapore's SingTel, Egypt's Orascom Telecom and other Middle Eastern telecom operators have shown interest in buying Pakistan's biggest phone company.
