Cartoon Network Begins Dedicated Pakistani Transmission

The leading kids’ entertainment channel of international repute, ‘Cartoon Network’ has been launched in Pakistan, whereas Strategic Alliances has been appointed by the channel to handle its advertising sales in the country, a news report said Friday.

The Network has set-up a dedicated beam for Pakistan, airing its premium quality programmes featuring cartoon stars like Tom and Jerry, Scooby-Doo, Popeye the sailor, Powerpuff Girls, Pokémon and several others.

Many areas of Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad are broadcasting the dedicated beam as boxes of the channel have been provided to cable operators across the country.

Cartoon Network is the first channel to bring continuous premium cartoons service to the Asia Pacific Region.

The Network is seen in 170 million homes worldwide, across 161 countries in close to twenty languages and 22 separate feeds…
