Student Art Project Concludes in Lahore

A week-long art exhibition titled ‘Unilever National Art Project 2004’ to display artwork by students from across Pakistan, concluded at Alhamra Hall-III on Friday. The artwork was themed ‘Connecting and Communicating’.

Artists were divided in three age categories; from 5 to 10 years, 11 to 14, and 15 to 18. Over 200 works of art, including collages, installations, paint and plasters, from small intricate models to a 96-foot long scroll, were selected from 262 schools. Four winners from each age category were selected. The prize-winning pieces will be sent to London for display in an international exhibition at the Tate Modern Art Gallery. The judges in London will select the best art project from Pakistan and the winner will be flown to London on a sponsored trip…
