Pakistan Flights by Etihad Airways to Begin

Etihad Airways has announced it will begin direct flights from Abu Dhabi to Karachi effective November 2, 2004. Initial flight frequency is on a four times per week basis.

“We are very excited about this new link between our two countries,” said Kevin Steele, Head of World Sales for Etihad Airways. Steele noted the airline’s rapid expansion into Pakistan in its first year of operation underlines Etihad’s desire to link the booming economy of Karachi with the historical business and trade centres of the Arabian Gulf.

Etihad will also offer convenient connections to London and Europe from its base in Abu Dhabi. The airline plans on expanding routes to the subcontinent, Africa, and the Far East in the coming months.
