German firm keen to assemble engines in Pakistan

A German firm has expressed its intention to set up manufacturing plant of German engines for heavy trucks and off-road engines and transmissions.

To this effect, a delegation of Coastal Dubai, UAE, led by Yousaf Najibi, Chairman Coastal Dubai Sunday called on Acting President Muhammad Mian Soomro in the Parliament House.

Najibi informed the Acting President that his firm intends to set up manufacturing plant of German engines for heavy trucks and off-road engines and transmissions.

The unit is likely to be set up by Coastal Dubai with the technical collaboration of German companies and an estimated 100 million Euro is likely to be invested in Pakistan paving the way for creating employment opportunities for skilled and semi skilled labour force…
