Aqeel wins ITF Futures’ title in India

via www.keralaonline.com

Pakistan's Aqeel Khan lived up to his top billing and won the USD 10,000 ITF Mens' Futures title defeating Chinese Taipei's Liu Tai-Wei 7-6 (5), 1-6, 6-1 at the Lal Bahadur stadium tennis complex here today.

Twenty-four-year-old Khan had a good beginning and he rolled on to 5-3 in the first set until he relaxed a bit which allowed his opponent to draw level and move into tie-break which the experienced player won with little effort.

"I relaxed a bit after reaching 5-3 in the first set and had to sort out things in the tie-break," Aqeel admitted in his post match press briefing.
