IT institute to be set up at Jamshoro

The Central Developmental Working Party (CDWP) of the federal government has approved the Rs180 million project of establishing the Institute of Communication Technologies at Mehran University of Engineering and Technology, Jamshoro.

This was stated by Higher Education Commission (HEC) chairman Dr Attaur Rehman at an official meeting held on Wednesday, official sources told Dawn. Dr Ata had said the Institute of Communication Technologies would be established at Mehran University of Engineering and Technology, Jamshoro, in the current financial year. The HEC, which would be executing the project, had taken the decision of establishing the new institute and had sent the project to the CDWP for approval.
