Indian food festival in Lahore

The city will taste south Indian food under a "culinary diplomacy" move as three Indian chefs have arrived in the city to take part in a food festival. The festival, Solidarity with a Southern Twist, will continue from September 4 to 17 at Pearl Continental Hotel.

This is a return visit from Uppal Orchid, an ecotel hotel located in Gurgaon, New Delhi, as the two Pakistani chefs had arranged a Pakistani food festival at Uppal Orchid in March. Uppal Orchid Beverage Manager Manoj Thapa told a press conference on Friday that India and Pakistan had two things in common; food and music and that these commonalities could enhance friendly relations between the two countries.
