Siachen - A Big Potential For Pakistan-India Collaboration: US Experts

American scientists have urged India and Pakistan to set up a joint science center at the Siachen Glaciers that will greatly help both the countries economically.

They strongly believed that if the two nations pull out troops and replace the military forces in the region with scientists and engineers (from India and Pakistan) "who would advance the knowledge in science and engineering by operating a high-altitude research station for the study of basic sciences, engineering and human physiology".
