Karachi fine art students compete for “Expressions”

A Fine Arts competition titled as ‘Expressions’ was organised to promote young artists. Like past years this year too, Pearl Continental Hotel as a part of Independence Day celebrations hosted the Art Extravaganza 2004.

Artists between the age of 15 to 26 had been invited to send their artwork of various exciting mediums like calligraphy, paintings and sculptures. Prominent artists like Durriya Qazi and Naheed Raza were the art selectors, while the jury comprised of Amin Guljee, Riffat Alvi and Adil Salahuddin.

More than 100 murals were on display and the participants clad in green and white outfits were also present in the exhibition….
