via www.dailytimes.com.pk

Usman Ahmed, a 17-year old student from Lahore, could be the next Pakistani science sensation.

Usman has just successfully completed a five-week course to which he had won entry through a worldwide competition.

The annual research event for young scientists is sponsored by the Virginia-based Research Science Institute and run jointly by the world famous Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the California Institute of Technology.

Usman was one of the 109 high school students chosen for the research project, 75 of them from the United States and 34 from 16 other countries. They have just completed five weeks of intensive research in their chosen fields. The subject Usman chose was ‘A Delay Analysis for Opportunistic Transmission in Fading Broadcast Channels’.
